South Bend Things To Do: Rafting-Kayaking.

There are great paddling and boating opportunities within Pacific County. The Willapa Water Trail stretches along pristine Willapa Bay, providing spectacular views of rocky beaches, majestic trees, and wildlife at play. When boating on Willapa Bay or tributary rivers, it is important to be aware of the tides. Tide tables are available at local businesses.
Tokeland Marina is close to restaurants and motels in Tokeland. Boat ramp, tent sites, RV parks, convenience store, restrooms. Overnight moorage available.

Smith Creek- This boat launch offers access to two different rivers, Smith Creek and North River. Head directly east up Smith Creek or follow the river to the right under the Highway 105 bridge and you’re on North River. Smith Creek is a calm, easy paddle that winds its way through forested areas. Heron and kingfisher can be seen, as well as hawks and other wildlife. Watch the muddy banks for animal trails and tracks. Paddlers on North River will go past a community of float houses, which dot the bank as you travel east. Like Smith Creek, birds and other wildlife are plentiful. A series of shallow rapids lies approximately 3-4 miles from the put-in. WDFW parking access decal is required at the boat launch.
Helen Davis Park On the Willapa River at the west end of South Bend. Convenient to restaurants and motels. Picnic tables.

Bay Center Ramp Boat launch in the Bay Center basin at the mouth of the Palix River. There may be lots of commercial fishing in this area, so keep a sharp lookout. Campsites and RV facilities are nearby at Bush Pioneer County Park.

Palix River Boat Ramp gives access to the upper Palix River and miles of meandering meadows rich with wildlife. WDFW parking access decal required
