Description: Coming Soon: WWW.HamnerTheater.com
Peter Coy is clearly one of the bright, new, inventive voices gracing the stage of the New American Theater scene.
The Charter Theater production of "Building a Boat", directed by Chris Stezin, at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts showcased a script which was a refreshingly inventive study of characters who, like us all, function on many levels.
One character tells us, there is no such thing as "just a boat," and Coy uses the boat as the centerpiece of his character studies.
We suggest that the plays of Peter, would work well on the stages of Regional Theater, and in university drama departments until they reach a wider audience.
We look forward to seeing his work off-broadway!
