Nestled on the bank of the Bitterroot River, Blackbird's Lodge provides thrilling trophy trout fishing and unparalleled hospitality for groups of up to ten individuals. Blackbird's brings a pleasant combination of style and comfort to our rustic setting. You can stroll through the lush garden surrounding the lodge to our fully stocked and private trout lake or take a walk to the river where moose, deer, pheasant and bald eagles can be seen.

With the Bitterroot River flowing past the lodge, our spacious deck affords a beautiful view of the river, and fishing is just a short stroll away.

Our game room boasts world class trophy mounts, an English slate pool table, darts and many other games to choose from. Check out (at no extra charge) one of our 600+ movies, or enjoy the DSS satellite system with surround stereo.

Our spacious bedrooms are tastefully decorated, and give you plenty of room to make yourself comfortable. In fact, some of our guests threaten to never leave!

With a complete kitchen, you can treat our place as if it were your own, or have your great Montana dinner prepared by our chef and served inside, or for a treat, outside on our private 1,000-foot redwood deck. You also notice that you are just a few hundred yards from some of the best fishing in the world.

Blackbirds has access to one of the finest pheasant preserves in Montana. Pheasant hunts are available from September 1 through March. Duck and goose hunting is also available through Blackbirds during the normal season which typically begins in early October.

Trips - Cast & Blast (6) Beginning September 1st each year, Blackbirds offers a true sportsmans quest. Awesome pheasant hunting in the morning followed by a game lunch and then casting for large spawning brown trout in the afternoon. It all concludes with a gourmet dinner at the lodge.

Directions and/or Additional Information:
Blackbird's is located in Victor, Montana. If you are flying here, the nearest airport is Missoula, Montana. You may also want to check Spokane Airport, in Washington, as the air fares can sometimes be less costly.

Blackbird's offers their guests an opportunity to be picked up at the airport and taken right to the lodge. For those wishing to sightsee in the area, a rental car is suggested.

Missoula Int'l Airport (MSO)
Serviced by Delta, Northwest and Alaska Airlines. MSO is approximately 50 minutes from Blackbird's lodge.

Spokane Airport
Serviced by the same airlines as MSO, plus United and Southwest. Spokane Airport is approximately three hours drive to the west of Missoula, but can offer more economical fares on occasion.

Pickup Service:
Blackbird's Lodge offers a pickup service at the airport for our main lodge customers. A van is often available that offers ample room for those fly rods.

All major car rental companies service both Missoula and Spokane airports.

Late Arrival:
No problem! Blackbird's can arrange pickup on a 24 hour basis. If you have a rental car, please notify them of your flight number and arrival time. Your car will be waiting
