Three Affiliated Tribes Museum Website Three Tribes Museum Description: The Three Tribes Museum tells the story of the Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara nations. When the Lewis & Clark Expedition arrived in 1804, these people lived in earthlodge villages. They gardened and hunted buffalo. Corn was a major food source. The museum sits on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation, home to the Three Affiliated Tribes - Mandan, Hidatsa and Arikara. Directions and/or Additional Information: The museum is located four miles west of New Town on ND Highway 23 in Four Bears Memorial Park, along with tribal headquarters and the Four Bears Casino and Lodge.
