Alessandro's 120 Website info@alessandros120.com Description: Alessandro's Restaurants were established in Oregon in 1972 by the late Alessandro Fasani, a native of Rome. He was trained in Italy and Switzerland and, in his youth, worked in most Western European countries. The present location was purchased in 1999 after 20 years in a leased location in Salem. The building dates from 1870 and was originally a livery stable. The beautiful wood floors still bear the scars of hoof marks.Over the decades it was used as a hardware store, business supply and brewery. The present interiors were designed by Alessandro's wife, Jane. The colors, textures and artwork are typical of the restaurants found in the Castelli Romani, the hill towns of Rome. Although some recipes have been altered to the American palate, the cooking techniques and freshest, highest quality ingredients are Italian tradition. Pasta dishes use only De Cecco pasta, our Parmesan is granna, and the finest oils, vinegars and porcini mushrooms are imported from Italy. Our produce and seafood arrives daily and is inspected for quality and freshness before it is accepted.
