Experienced fishing guides can take you on an exciting float trip; you can pull on your waders and get right into the Madison from the lodge or perhaps float tubes are more to your liking. In addition to fly fishing, we also offer horseback riding, rafting, canoeing, hiking, bicycling, birdwatching or you can just come and relax! Winter is truly a special time at Buffalo Jump Lodge. From mid-December to April, the snow covered landscape provides a pristine backdrop for a light or invigorating outdoor adventure. Find your own path into the scene on snowshoes, cross-country skis, or even a dog sled. Bring your snowmobiles or rent one of ours and enjoy over 100 miles of clearly marked trails through the Gravelly Range. You’ll also enjoy taking winter photographs, tracking animals or why not try your hand at ice fishing at one of several secluded frozen lakes. After your fun filled day, you will want to shake off the winter chill and come inside where the lodge is warm and friendly. Stacks of firewood keep the blazing fires going to heat the river rocks in the fireplace which radiates warmth in the River Room and dining area.
