Description: The Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum (OEF) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to improving the climate for emerging, growth-oriented companies across Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. OEF helps improve the flow of ideas, services, and capital to entrepreneurs and helps connect companies to expertise and other resources they need to grow their business. Together, our nearly 2,200 members strive to aid the growth and development of a healthy, diversified Oregon economy with a new generation of entrepreneurial leaders.
OEF was originally formed in 1991 as the Oregon Enterprise Forum, one of more than 20 worldwide chapters of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Enterprise Forum. In 1997, the organization merged with the Oregon Young Entrepreneurs Association (OYEA) and formed the Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum, the largest entrepreneur assistance organization in the state of Oregon.

Angel Oregon 2005 offers equal parts education and inspiration for angels and entrepreneurs alike. This year's day-long event will deliver insights on the challenges, process, and areas of greatest potential for angel investors, and a window into the world of angel investing for entrepreneurs. Then we'll put theory into practice: Three to five young companies will present their business and model to a panel of investors, who will critique each presentation and plan. The company deemed to have the greatest potential for success will get a great head state: a $100,000 investment by a group of local angel investors!

"Brent and Max and I had to drive to the conference in Portland from Missoula in my old van with 175,000 miles on it. Brent's Suburban was in the shop when we got the call at 7Pm one day. We left at 7Am the next day, and delivered Brent to the Conference at 7Am the next day.
Brent showed up in his Sioux-beaded Buckskin jacket, 40 year old vintage handmade exotic skin Tony Lama El Rey's. He was sporting his 200 year old Lewis and Clark Trade beads, Sacagawea cap, and Levi's 501s. His presence was noted, I am sure, character that he is."

"Guerilla Marketing, on a manic mission from Missoula, Montana crashed head-on into the laid-back city-slickers of the Portland Angel Entrepreneur arena, we are hoping, no one, too much the worse for the cross-cultural encounter.
We received a very warm welcome. The presenters, Angels, speakers, moderators and panelists were extremely professional and informative. Though there was no campfire and group-singing of Cum Bay yaa, entrepreneurs do recognize each other, sharing a comraderie of kindred entrepreneurial spirit. The bar did a good spurt of Land-Office business at the beginning of the reception.
After 1 glass of wine, there were still small groups talking and laughing, when I left. A great time was had by all.
This was the single most powerful networking day of my business and creative careers! I met many powerful potential allies. Must have done my 6 versions of the elevator pitch 3 times each. And, dispite my bull-in-the-china-shop tendencies, and exagerated sense of "street theatre," Everyone got it. That the bicentennial of Lewis and Clark and Sagagawea will be a $50 billion dollar increase in tourism for 11 states, and a $50 billion dollar merchandising extravaganza, and that Lewisandclark200.com owns it outright on the internet.
We offerred to invest $25,000 in internet branding services, internet promotion, and a new website to the winner of the $100,000 business plan competition, Castor & Pollux makers of Animal Planet Organix for Pets. Max, our Rhodesian Ridgeback can be seen on banner ads for them all over the internet, already!"
