Exhibits at the center tell the history of the cultural and natural environment of The Dalles area. The highlight of the visit is typically the train ride. The train travels from the visitor center up river a short distance to view the powerhouse, fishladder, and the entrance to The Dalles-Celilo Canal, which There are petroglyphs to see! There is no charge to enjoy the visitor center or to ride the train.
