Description: Conrad’s home town stroll provides a wonderful diversion in the midst of the Thanksgiving season. Old friends meet in Conrad’s downtown district where they are treated to the annual lighting of the Christmas tree at the Pondera County Courthouse with local talent providing a musical backdrop. Santa arrives on a horse drawn wagon to officially begin the stroll. The younger children are treated to a carnival hosted at the local school, while parents can enjoy shopping on Main Street. A miniature train ride is also provided for the smaller shoppers. Horse drawn wagon rides are furnished for the entire evening, shuttling shoppers from the shopping center to downtown to a live nativity to the bell ringers performing in one of the local businesses. Local civic groups accommodate the hungry with a variety of taste sensations, from Home-made suckers to German sausage and many items in between.
