"The substantial shifts in natural terrain make for unrelenting challenges in the midst of breathtaking views of the state's largest body of water, Lake McConaughy. Stu Pospisil, sports writer for the "Omaha World Herald", called Bayside Golf Course "Nebraska's next national attention-attracting golf course. Bayside's nines are distinct. The 3,062-yard front nine, with three par-5's, three 4's and three 3's on bluegrass fairways, is where golfers need to score well. It's on gentler land, much the same as at Sand Hills Golf Club about 110 driving miles to the northeast. The back nine includes a pair of par-5's that are 615 yards from the back tees. On those holes, nine tees have been built to make the hole playable for all skill levels. The back-tee length on the back nine is expected to be about 3,600 yards."
