Built in 1909 this historic railroad hotel has ten pretty guest rooms (It's bigger than it looks.) with private baths, colorful quilts, whimsical decor, and TV. "The Montana" is a great place for small group gatherings. Guests have told us that staying at "The Montana" reminded them of a visit to Grandma's house. One guest wrote in our journal that it is "as comfortable as my favorite leather chair." Directions and/or Additional Information: Just off I-90, 30 miles west of Missoula, in the quiet little town of Alberton, The Montana Hotel is a convenient over-night spot for travelers between Seattle and points east. Take I-90 exit #77 or #75. There's not even a stoplight between Alberton and Missoula, and the Missoula International Airport, an easy half-hour away.
