"I was taken to the Black Dog for breakfast by my business partner, Sheila, who's family has had a home in Vineyard Haven for over 100 years. Her brother's kids, and Silas, the 3 month old seafarin' grandson had to catch the Fast Ferry at 10AM.
It was a gorgeous morning on the harbor. Sunny. Slight breeze. Visions of Whaling Ships, and wives, praying for safe return, bidding adieu to tattoo'd sailors with leather skin.
Everyone had steaming coffee, laboring over the decision of what to order.
Granny had the blueberry pancakes, Sheila the french toast, and I, pancakes and eggs over medium with bacon.
What a day! What hospitality! What a breakfast!
I can't wait for many lunches, and dinners, and good times at the Black Dog!
