Held in mid July, the Fair offers everything you expect from a traditional, small town county fair...4-H exhibits, rodeo, carnival rides, great food and drink and it’s all capped off with big name entertainment on Saturday night and a demolition derby on Sunday!Admission to the fairgrounds is free. Parking is located outside the fairgrounds and is also free. Thursday is entry day. PRCA Rodeo is held on Thursday and Friday nights at the grandstand.On Saturday afternoon, catch the 4-H Market Stock Sale, in which locally grown stock is auctioned to the highest bidder. While in the area, browse the 4-H barns and see the work of our future agribusiness people.On Saturday evening, big name country music entertainment lights up the night. The grandstand at the fairgrounds has no bad seats; every seat provides a great view of the stage and the outdoor location provides one of the best concert sound experiences you are likely to have. There are no reserved seats; that means everyone has a chance to be front and center. Gates open by 7:30, but arrive early and enjoy some great 4-H food while you’re waiting.Sunday night, The American Legion Demolition Derby is off and running at 7:00pm. Watch as crazy drivers crash cars for cash prizes.Throughout the fair, you’ll find free entertainment on the grounds, a variety of food and drink booths (including famous 4-H hamburgers) and a new carnival this year promising some great new rides. Carnival tickets at reduced prices are available at the Fair Office in the weeks preceding the Fair. Call the office at 356-2144 after July 1 for information.Top it all off with the great reception you’ll receive from the friendly people of Rosebud and Treasure Counties and you’ve got a County Fair that can’t be beat!
