The Fleur de Lis, named for the symbol of the City of Louisville, has been professionally decorated and furnished with antiques. All rooms have 13 foot ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors and woodwork, fireplaces, central heat and air, TV/VCR, telephone and private bath (some with whirlpool). Like many of the fine mansions in Old Louisville, The Fleur de Lis was built by money supplied by the railroad. The Fleur de Lis was built in 1897 by Percy Semple a manufacturer of railroad supplies. The house later sold to Francis Miller, President of the Louisville Railway Company. The house remained in the Miller family until 1997.
