Hockaday Museum of Art Website hockaday@aboutmontana.net Description: The Hockaday Museum of Art is the primary visual art museum in the Flathead Valley of Northwest Montana. Located in Kalispell's historic Carnegie Library building, close to many scenic and recreational attractions, our six galleries exhibit local, regional, national, international, historic and contemporary artwork. Andrew Carnegie granted $10,000 for construction of the building that houses the Hockaday Museum of Art on Dec. 21, 1901. It has been continuously dedicated to public service ever since it opened in January 1904. Directions and/or Additional Information: Northbound, on U.S. Highway 93 (Main Street), turn right onto Third Street and continue eastward for two blocks. Southbound, turn left onto Fourth Street, head east for two blocks, then turn left onto Second Avenue East for one block.
