BigSkyMontana.us BigSkyMontana.us Description: Germanfest is an annual ethnic heritage celebration that highlights Missoula’s Sister City relationship with Neckargemund, one of the oldest communities in Germany. The celebration is held in the Pavilion at Caras Park alongside the Clark Fork River in downtown Missoula. A typical program includes free musical entertainment and German style dancing. Children’s activities and an information booth on German culture are included. Also available are modestly-priced ethnic foods and, naturlich, Bayern brew beverages. Visitors from Missoula’s Sister City, as well as nearby Heidelberg University are frequent guests at the event.
