It has great historical significance, too, as it is one of the few remaining buildings still in existence from the early 1900's. In 1912 it was built to house railroad workers and was known as the Ocean Crest Apartments. For years tourist trains brought families from Portland for the summer and "Daddy Trains" brought the working fathers on Friday nights for the weekend. In 1993 the inn was transformed into the charming and comfortable family inn you see today.
