The Beartooth Mountains create the northern boundary to Yellowstone National Park and are the summer grounds for great herds of elk, moose, deer, bear, bighorn sheep, mountain goats, wolves and a variety of other animals of the greater Yellowstone ecosystem. The photo opportunities are endless!

You’ll discover rivers and streams with names like East Rosebud, Stillwater and Rock Creek where Brown, Rainbow, Brook and Cutthroat Trout abound. In some of the high mountain lakes, world-class golden trout thrive. The thrill of catching a fighting, wild trout can be experienced by anyone with an adventurous spirit and a desire to embrace the outdoors.

Horseback trips of five to ten days can be tailored to your interests. No previous riding experience is required. You'll be safe and comfortable aboard our trusted mountain horses and mules. Unforgettable gourmet meals prepared by one of Montana's best outdoor chefs is standard fare. You'll camp in first class comfort while our professional crew takes care of your every need. Wilderness sightseeing and photographic expeditions are offered in the summer months and itineraries can be customized to fit your specific needs.

Silver Run offers Wilderness Pack Trips, Drop Camps, Day Rides, Riding Lessons, Fly Fishing, Lodging and Photographic Pack Trips to adults and families.

ARE OUR TRIPS ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY?

We promote low impact/no trace camping on our pack trips and embrace a holistic philosophy in all our activities.

HOW MANY GUESTS ARE ON EACH TRIP?

Typically groups range from 3 to 8 guests. Larger groups can be accommodated with prior notice.

HOW DIFFICULT ARE THE ACTIVITIES?

The trips can be as active or as relaxing as you desire. All trips involve some mild horse back riding. Once in camp guests can choose to participate in as many or as few activities as they wish.

For individuals or families seeking a place to escape the pressures of the world and discover a slower, quieter time, Bench Ranch offers two lodging retreats situated next to the West Rosebud River on 5000 acres in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains.

TORGRIMSON PLACE
Built in 1904 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this intimate log cabin has been lovingly refurbished and features a master bedroom with a king size bed, second bedroom with a queen bed, sofa bed, and an extra roll-away bed, a fully-equipped kitchen, living room with fireplace, phone and no TV! A small sleeping cabin next door is an ideal kid ’s bunkhouse.

SINDELAR
Hidden in stands of aspen, cottonwoods and pines, this log cabin waits to inspire and renew mind, body, and spirit. Sindelar features a lofted master bedroom and library with TV and VCR, a fully equipped kitchen, living room and fireplace, sofa sleeper, laundry facilities, and phone. The Tea House next door can accommodate two people and offers a full-size bed, a writing desk, and a chamber pot.
