Description:
As you step through the welcoming doors of this 1910 Craftsman bungalow, you will find yourself in a bright, cheery sun porch completely surrounded by clear glass windows.

As you walk through the door into the house, you enter the spacious living area, a welcome retreat for reading or watching TV. On one end of the room is a wood burning fireplace with chairs placed cozily nearby. A welcoming glass of spirits awaits!

The adjacent dining room has lovely windows and a built-in china cabinet, just like many folks remember from grandma's house.

Two suites are available upstairs: The Sea Shell Room, an airy room featuring white wicker furniture and a private bath overlooking the river. Pastel floral quilts grace a king or twin-size beds.

The Driftwood Room features a large room with a comfortable queen-size bed and a private bath. It's adjoining alcove transforms this room into a spacious suite which can accommodate two children. A cozy sitting area is between the two suites, equipped with a phone, TV/VCR, and small refrigerator for guests' use.

The breakfasts you'll enjoy at the Sand Dollar are a highlight of your stay. Proprietors Don and Meredith Tuschoff take great delight in preparing a variety of delicious specialties, including French Toast Strata and Smoked Salmon Quiche, made from fresh, local ingredients. They are also happy to accommodate special dietary needs.

But the best kept secret of the Sand Dollar is the cozy 710 sq. ft. separate cottage on the property, which sleeps up to six. It sits within 15 feet of the bank of the Necanicum River, though high enough to be safe from high tides and high water.

Watching the river and its abundance of wild birds makes staying in the cottage a quiet and relaxing experience. A spacious living room stretches across the river front with large picture windows drawing the view indoors. The room has a lofted ceiling and a corner fireplace (gas) for extra atmosphere.

The fully equipped kitchen and dining room in the cottage make it optional for breakfast service in the main house and ready for other meals in the comfort of 'home'. The full bath and comfortable bedroom with a queen-size bed are also on this floor.

The cottage also has laundry facilities in the basement. A large cedar deck surrounds the cottage on two sides and provides another spectacular view of the river. The riverbank is gradual enough to offer easy access with a canoe or kayak.

Directions and/or Additional Information:
The Sand Dollar is located in the center of Seaside right on a bus stop and enjoys full city services. Stores, schools, churches, library, outlet mall, beach and public swimming pool are within easy walking distance.
